American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson smashes it out of the park with this hit. She talks about getting over loneliness and triumphing by reasoning with the stubborn emotion.

We've all had it happen. Some of us handle this by "layering" relationships. Serial daters who always have one in the hand and one in the bush, so to speak, avoid loneliness in case of a sudden break up, but also risk lustful affairs or cheating if they get serious with one date while trying to hold on to another.

Loneliness is both a strength and a weakness. Here, with Kelly, it's a strength. She's telling it to find someone else. She's not lonely any more.

Find something that fulfills you that doesn't involve an actual other person. That's what you can do when there's no one around to occupy your attention. It's wise. It helps you make it through.

I could go on about the experiences that inform my advice above but that would put past relationships on "blast." That's not what I'm doing here so I'll leave that part out of the equation. It's a journal entry. To some degree those are private and only make 'literal' sense to the writer, although a reader that's not the author can estimate it's meaning if they know enough or relate to enough of what's written.

That's what I hope you do with this track and every track in this musical diary I've 'written.'
